She knows she's beautiful but doesn't care to shove it into people's face; given that her present shipgirl "commodore" is the flagship of Manila Bay, Julia Dewey (USS Olympia) — a being that is held with as much reverence by American shipgirls as their Japanese counterparts would one Tōgō Michelyne (THG Mikasa) — such potentially "disturbing" behaviour is kept under tight control. Gabby is still sore about the explosion in her Number 2 main gunhouse in 1989; even THINK of speaking of the "accepted" cause of said explosion would send her into a frothing rage. And given that she had been a museum ship in Los Angeles before her salvage and Gifting, she would be exposed to the modern Hollywood culture...but deep down, she's a Great Plains farm girl and tends to be pretty laid back about a lot of stuff. Of course, she IS willing to engage in an umbrella duel with Itō Yasuko (THG Yamato) if chance presents itself...!
