Matsubara Suzue AKA THG Zuikaku

The longest-lived operational front-line Japanese aircraft carrier in World War Two outside the hapless THG Yonaga, having participated in everything from Pearl Harbour to Leyte Gulf, this is the reborn THG Zuikaku, given the human name Matsubara Suzue. Having allowed herself to be salvaged and Gifted from the depths of the Philippine Sea where she was sunk in late 1944, the adopted native of Kōbe on the coast of the Inland Sea of Honshū would come back home alongside most of the others who were sunk during that final gamble of the Imperial Japanese Navy, she landing on Ōmure-jima near Odawara where she would meet the man others like her viewed as a spiritual admiral, Moroboshi Ataru. Like so many others from Ashikaga Akemi (THG Akebono) to Catarina von Savoyen (USS Prinz Eugen), it was love at first sight. Naturally, Ataru's "wife" Redet Lum didn't care for such a thing... ...but when one gets atop the standard FISS/energy projection/special telepathy that all shipgirls receive on salvage and Gifting, Suzue would honour the first half of her ship's name and receive luck-altering powers which allowed her to play some pranks on the "usual crowd" in Tomobiki, which definitely lightened Ataru's mood as he counted down the days to when his "wife" and all her followers-on from other worlds were permanently banished from Earth. Of course, Suzue was more than happy to reunite with her beloved elder sister Kanako (THG Shōkaku)...never mind actually meet up with the transformed Yonaga, AKA Itō Yoiko. Then again, encountering her "sempai" Oikawa Kei (THG Kaga)...! Yoiko: 鈴江さん、慶先輩, 今はその時ではありません! ("Suzue-san, Kei-sempai, now is NOT the time!")
