Type 98, Now with Waifu Support
The Imperial Japanese Type 98 uniform has been reinvented so many times in Hengdian's nationalist TV dramas that I'm no longer sure what counts as historically inaccurate. I've even seen attempts at introducing female officers. So I suppose a version designed for anime fans was only a matter of time. The cybernetic markings are a minor creative liberty. The exposed midriff is a major cultural achievement. Don't worry. It's still a patriotic production.
