RPG monster design, original character, female humanoid monster, hornet kaijin, exoskeleton structure, segmented chitin plating, glossy black and yellow banded carapace, translucent iridescent insect wings on back, sharp needle-like antennae on head, faceted compound eyes, mandible-like jaw plating, clawed chitin fingers, digitigrade armored legs, full body, dynamic action pose, mid-lunge, upper body twisted, one arm thrust forward, from below, dutch angle, foreshortening, claws open toward viewer, single subject, no humans, textured dark backdrop A single female-form humanoid monster with a hornet's exoskeleton is seen from below at a low worm's-eye angle, the camera tilted slightly off level and pushed close so her thrusting claw arm looms huge in the near foreground while her body recedes up and back. She is caught mid-lunge: the near armored arm drives forward past her shoulder, four long chitin-plated fingers splaying open toward the lens with glassy dark claws catching the light, while her far arm sweeps back behind her hip, counterbalancing the lunge. Her weight rides on the near leg, planted and bent deep, the chitin bands over her thigh compressing to plates; the trailing leg is stretched back, foot arched onto the ball with the clawed toes gripping the ground. Her torso twists so the chest plating faces slightly off-axis, revealing the segment articulation at the waist. Above, a narrow head: a visored chitin helm over faceted compound eyes facing forward, two long needle-like antennae sweeping back and up from the brow, mandible plates at either side of her thin jaw gaped slightly open. Her mouth is parted, showing a faint shine of teeth; her gaze is fixed on the viewer because the viewer is what she is lunging at. From her shoulder blades, two pairs of translucent iridescent insect wings fan wide and lifted mid-beat, their thin veins tracing a fine mesh; they throw rainbow split-second highlights as they catch the light from behind. The exoskeleton reads as a full-body shell: glossy banded yellow and black plates running from throat to ankle, segmented at the ribs, layered at the hips like overlapping scales, glossy as a lacquered shell with hard specular glints on every convex plate. Behind her the backdrop is a plain textured dark charcoal field, flat and empty, with nothing else in the frame. Single strong backlight in a cold pale-cyan sitting behind her right shoulder: it rims the edges of every plate, glows through and around the translucent wings, and leaves her face and the underside of the thrusting arm partly shadowed, while a hard cast shadow drops down and to the left of her feet onto the ground plane. Palette: a dominant yellow and black banding of the body, pale iridescent violet-teal and cyan in the wings, and the cold grey-cyan rim light, against a dark neutral ground. Detail budget sits on the face, the open claw and its contact shadows, the plate segmentation at waist and hips, and the wing venation. Menacing, poised to strike.
