A single loose cloud of pollen dust hangs in the air around her, fine grains bright only where the low beam catches them, so the light source becomes visible in the particles. Where the amber light hits the plate edges, a thin oily sheen slides across the curved chitin. The palette holds to honey gold, jet black, the amber glow and the void; nothing else admitted. The detail budget goes to the plate seams, the claw tips, the grin and the wing membranes; the silhouette stays clean and readable as a design sheet.
