More to See

1girl, solo, wolf girl, dog ears, animal ears, notched left ear, long tail, black tail, red tail streaks, jet black hair, white hair streaks, shoulder-length hair, short bob, wet hair, tareme, drooping eyes, golden eyes, dark circles, eyebags, lifeless eyes, faint hope in eyes, fang, yaeba, muscular female, toned arms, flat chest, top surgery scar, towel around waist, bare shoulders, sitting in bathtub, hot water, submerged, deep in tub, both hands on bathtub edge, arms draped over rim, hands hanging limp, sighing, open mouth, dazed, spaced out, melancholic, looking at viewer, front view, close-up, face focus, bathroom, steam, wet skin, yukata-free, quiet melancholy, subdued hope Straight-on front view, camera at water level and tilted very slightly up, framed as a tight face close-up: her face fills the upper two-thirds of the frame, and the rim of the tub with her two draped forearms crosses the bottom third. Her head is tipped back a touch against the tiled tub wall, chin slightly lifted, and it is her face the camera reads first -- the wet black hair, the golden eyes under heavy half-lowered lids, the smudged dark circles beneath them. Her hair, jet black and cut short into a bob that now clings wet to the jaw, hangs to her shoulders; two white streaks lie damp against her right cheek and cling close to her temple, ends dripping into the water. Both ears stand from the wet hair: the left one is notched along its upper edge, the right whole; water beads on their fur. Her long black tail, striped with red, floats out behind her left shoulder along the water's surface and curls up past her right arm, the red streaks breaking the surface like thin ribbons. Her mouth has just opened on a sigh -- lips parted, one lower fang showing at the corner of her mouth -- and a thin line of steam escapes with the breath, curling up in front of her cheek, and her brows pull faintly together as if she were trying to see something through it. Her eyes are gold and heavy-lidded, their surface catching only the faintest glossy point of light near the low lamplight, and they look straight into the viewer with a dull, tired flatness in which that one point of light is the only spark of hope. She does not smile. Her shoulders are bare and her upper chest is flat and muscled, with a pale surgical scar line running low across it, and the whole upper body is out of frame beneath the waterline except those two arms draped over the tub rim, forearms hanging limp, wrists loose, and fingertips just touching the water. Her lower body is wrapped in a plain wet towel that presses dark and heavy against her hip beneath the surface; a few threads of steam gather in the towel's folds. The bathroom has a tiled tub surround behind her shoulders, a small window with frosted glass at the far left letting in a cool gray dawn, and a wooden bucket and soap at the tub rim; the day outside is dim and bluish, while the tub's water and the faucet to her left give off a warm amber glow, so the light runs warm from the left along her cheek and turned shoulder and cool gray on the far side of her face. The water surface is still, with only the faintest ripple where the tail and her fingers touch it, and the steam drifting off the surface makes the dim window light look like a cloud. The color scheme is narrow: black in her hair and tail, white in the streaks and the fog on the glass, red in the tail's stripes, gold in her eyes, and the indifferent white of the tiled tub, with nothing else admitted. Quiet, exhausted, and faintly hoping.
