The figure is draped in a simple, flowing saffron-red and gold kasaya robe that leaves the right shoulder bare; the head bears tightly coiled snail-shell curls (rahotsu) crowned with a pronounced ushnisha, and an urna jewel shines faintly on the forehead. With eyes gently half-closed looking downward in supreme compassion and a calm, closed-lip expression, the right hand is raised in the abhaya mudra of reassurance while the left rests flat in the lap. A colossal ring of radiating gold leaf beams (rinpa-ko) forms a halo behind the head. Directly to the right of this supreme tier, an upright vermilion plaque with polished gold borders displays the sharp, elegant calligraphy reading "如来".
On the second tier just below, the Bosatsu (Bodhisattva) stands poised in a graceful tribhanga curve atop a floating white lotus blossom. At the lowest base tier, the Tenbu (Deva guardian) stands upright and vigilant atop swirling cumulus cloud banks above distant mountain ridges. The figure is clad in ornate gold and bronze-lacquered lamellar armor with leonine shoulder pauldrons, flowing maroon sashes, and armored greaves planted squarely on the cloud mist. The stern, armored guardian grips an upright celestial spear in the right fist, planting its shaft into the stone-like clouds, while the open left palm supports a glowing miniature golden reliquary pagoda (stupa) that casts an upward amber rim light across the chiseled jaw and focused, protective gaze. A polished bronze tablet affixed near the guardian's platform displays the engraved kanji "天部".
