A single small plush rabbit sits squarely facing the camera, seen from straight on at a slightly low eye level so the shelf board runs as a level horizontal line across the lower third of the frame and the plush's whole rounded silhouette reads against the wall above it. The rabbit is pink -- a warm rose body plush with the two long ears a shade lighter at the front faces and a paler cream muzzle patch and belly patch -- seated upright with its weight settled back onto its haunches and its fluffy round tail squashed flat under and behind it against the shelf board, so the tail is hidden except for a fuzz of pink fibres escaping at its right hip. Its short stubby legs splay slightly outward on the board, the flat soles flattened where they press the wood; its short arms hang forward with the paws resting on its own belly, the fabric dimpling where the round paw pads push the stuffing inward. The head is large and softly egg-shaped and tips just a degree to its left, one long floppy ear standing more upright while the other bends at the mid-length and folds over to hang down the side of the face, its tip drooping past the cheek. The face is aimed at the viewer: two glossy black button eyes with a single small hard highlight each, a tiny triangular stitched nose in dusty pink thread, and a small embroidered mouth line curving at one corner into an uneven, faintly cheeky smile. The gaze is fixed straight out of the frame at the viewer; the head tilt is the whole of its expression.
The shelf is a plain pale wooden board with a visible grain running lengthwise and a soft rounded front edge, seen close enough that the wood fills the lower band of the image while the wall above occupies the top two thirds, an unbroken matte off-white surface with fine plaster tooth. Nothing else is on the shelf -- the board's span is empty to both edges of the frame, no books, no frames, no other toys, no dust. The light comes from a single window off-frame at the upper left: it strikes the plush's left ear, left cheek and left flank with a warm neutral daylight, leaving the right side in a soft cool shadow, and it throws a short soft shadow of the rabbit diagonally to the right and behind it onto the wall and a fainter compressed shadow under its body onto the board.
