The grandfather features an oversized rounded head, neatly trimmed snowy-white hair, a fluffy white mustache, and warm crescent-shaped closed smiling eyes surrounded by soft crinkle lines. He wears a muted slate-blue kimono under an olive-green padded chanchanko vest. One tiny monkey sits perched on his right shoulder, nuzzling its rosy cheek against the man's temple while the grandfather's right hand raises upward, gently scratching under the monkey's chin with his fingertips. A second small monkey cuddles tightly against his left forearm in his lap, hugging the fabric with both tiny paws as the grandfather's left palm softly strokes down its fluffy fawn-colored back. The third monkey sits nestled between the grandfather's folded legs, holding up a bright orange mikan fruit with both hands, its curly tail wrapped around the grandfather's knee. The dense woven fabric of the crimson cushion compresses visibly beneath the grandfather's seated weight, and the fur beneath the perched monkey's jaw parts realistically around the man's gentle fingertips. In the upper-right section of the card, bold decorative calligraphy reads "謹賀新年" in crisp vermilion lettering, paired with a small circular vermilion seal stamp inscribed with the gold character "申". The scene is framed by floating golden cloud shapes, delicate red and white plum blossoms, and stylized evergreen pine sprigs arranged like clean graphic stickers along the edges over a textured cream-white washi paper ground with tiny flecks of gold leaf. Rendered in a modern chibi-focused anime style with rounded proportions, oversized heads, soft pastel palettes, clean linework, dense decorative elements, playful expressions, and sticker-like compositions, blending contemporary kawaii trends with rich textures and lively festive color accents; heartwarming and festive.
