character: fern_(sousou_no_frieren), frieren 1girl, 1girl, monster, mimic, cave, from above, looking down, frieren, fern_(sousou_no_frieren), half-body, trapped, open mouth, pointy ears, white hair, twintails, green eyes, white capelet, purple hair, blunt bangs, purple eyes, white dress, long sleeves, shock, sweatdrop, looking at another, looking at monster A high-angle shot looking down into a dim, damp limestone cave. In the midground, a large, wooden treasure chest with a jagged, toothy maw and a long purple tongue has clamped shut over a small woman's torso; she is half-swallowed, her lower body and legs kicking frantically in the air while her upper body, clad in a white capelet, is pinned against the mimic's wooden rim. Her white twintails flare out against the cave floor, and her green eyes are wide with a vacant, stunned expression. To the right, a second woman with long purple hair and blunt bangs has just rounded a rocky outcrop; she stands frozen, her body tilted back in a recoil of disbelief, one hand clutching her white dress at the chest and her purple eyes wide with a mix of exasperation and shock as she stares down at the scene. The only light source is a soft, cool blue luminescence emanating from crystals embedded in the cave ceiling, casting deep shadows in the crevices of the rock and highlighting the wet sheen of the mimic's tongue. The palette is dominated by cold greys, deep purples, and the stark white of the women's clothing. Dust motes dance in the stagnant air around the struggle. Comically pathetic.
