From a low angle cowboy shot, a young swordsman pauses in a mid-stride stance across slick, frost-rimed boulders beside a mountain stream. His jet-black hair is jagged and spiky, tied loosely at the nape into a low, bristling ponytail that sways with the cold alpine draft, with fine loose bangs framing his angular jawline. His deep navy-blue eyes remain sharp, calm, and focused on an unseen presence off to the left frame. Draped over his shoulders is an oversized, split-design haori: the right half is solid deep crimson, while the left half is an intricate geometric grid pattern of yellow, orange, and green squares; the fabric catches the wind, flaring backward around his waist. Beneath it, he wears a fitted dark charcoal uniform with a high buttoned collar, secured by a clean white belt, flowing into loose dark trousers bound at the calves with patterned fabric wraps and traditional sandals. His left hand grips the lacquered black scabbard slung at his hip, thumb resting against the dark blue-and-gold hexagonal handguard, while his right hand hovers poised near the cord-wrapped hilt. His front foot presses securely into a wet slate rock, displacing tiny droplets of icy water that send expanding circular ripples across the shallow, clear creek. The background recedes into a dense thicket of snow-dusted pine trees bathed in twilight mist, lit only by the pale, cold moonlight slicing through the canopy to rim the edges of his dark silhouette and sword hilt in crisp silver, casting long indigo shadows across the snow. A faint wisp of condensed breath hangs in the freezing air before his parted lips. Solitary quiet resolve.
