In the center strides the largest creature, a towering three-headed bird with a dense spherical brown-feathered body, powerful sinewy tan legs, and three sharp, stiff black tail quills tilted upward. Its three long, flexible necks fan outward in distinct directions: the central head glares forward with focused black pupils beneath a spiked black feather crest, its sharp flesh-toned beak tightly shut; the left head rears back with its beak agape in a shrill territorial screech; while the right head swivels to peer sharply backward over its flank, scanning the perimeter. Flanking this dominant figure are two smaller two-headed avian creatures: one races forward on the right, necks parallel and heads bobbing low in tandem with the rhythm of its sprint, kicking up dry clods of dirt; the second trails on the left, momentarily halting mid-stride with one clawed foot lifted off the red earth, both of its round heads turned upward in watchful curiosity toward the tallest bird. Direct golden afternoon sunlight slants across the scene from the upper left, carving deep shadows beneath the round bodies and casting sharp diagonal silhouettes across the trampled grass, while warm rim lighting outlines the rough texture of the brown down and the slender arcs of all seven necks. The speed of the forward movement is marked by tufts of dry soil and golden seed chaff kicked back in arcing plumes behind their drumming clawed toes. The palette is grounded in dry straw gold, warm umber, dusty ochre, and pale flesh tones, contrasted against a clear cerulean sky and the dark matte black of the crests. Wild vigilance.
