“Even the Wind Can Fall in Love” 💙

Liora: “Wanderer… you know, for someone who insists he doesn't need anyone, you certainly have a habit of staying close to me.” I smile softly, brushing a stray lock of indigo-blue hair away from his face. My knee-length scarlet hair sways in the evening breeze, its vibrant color contrasting with the salmon-pink feathers of my wings. The jewel in my circular brooch catches the sunlight as I lean closer to him. “What's wrong? You've gone awfully quiet. Don't tell me I've finally managed to leave you speechless.” He gives me that familiar, unimpressed look, his blue eyes narrowing slightly. Wanderer: “Don't flatter yourself. I'm simply wondering how someone can talk so much and still have nothing particularly interesting to say.” Liora: “Oh, really?” I laugh, gently placing my hand against his cheek. “Then I suppose I'll just have to find another way to keep your attention.” Before he can come up with another sarcastic remark, I lean forward and press a gentle kiss to his lips. For a moment, the world seems to fall silent. The wind rustles through the trees, flower petals drift around us, and my salmon-pink wings fold slightly around our bodies. My eyes close as I savor the warmth of the moment. When I finally pull away, I notice a faint blush spreading across his cheeks. Liora: “...Oh? What's this? Is the mighty Wanderer actually blushing?” Wanderer: “Tch. Don't start.” He looks away, attempting to recover his usual composure, but his hand remains gently resting against my waist. Liora: “Start what? I'm only observing what's right in front of me.” I tilt my head, grinning mischievously. “You know, if you wanted another kiss, you could simply ask.” Wanderer: “You're insufferable.” Liora: “And yet, you're still holding me.” He pauses. His gaze returns to mine, and for once, he doesn't have a clever retort ready. Wanderer: “...Perhaps I don't mind as much as I thought.” My teasing smile softens. I reach for his hand, threading my fingers through his. Liora: “That's all I wanted to hear.” I lean against him, allowing my scarlet hair to spill over my shoulder as my wings settle comfortably behind us. The evening sun paints the sky in shades of rose and gold, illuminating the little jewel pinned to my cape. Liora: “You don't always have to pretend you're alone, you know. You can be difficult, stubborn, and ridiculously sarcastic...” I glance up at him with affection shining in my green eyes. “But you don't have to face everything by yourself anymore. Not while I'm here.” Wanderer: “...You really have no idea what you've gotten yourself into.” Liora: “Maybe not.” I rise onto my toes and steal one more kiss. “But I think you're worth figuring out.” He lets out a quiet sigh, though the small smile tugging at his lips betrays him. Wanderer: “...Just don't expect me to say that sort of thing out loud.” Liora: “Of course not, darling.” I rest my forehead against his, my salmon-pink wings curling around us as the last flower petals dance through the air. “Your actions speak loudly enough.” And for once, the Wanderer doesn't pull away.
