character: scarlet_(nikke), snow_white_(nikke) 2girls, princess carry, bridal carry, snow white carrying scarlet, scarred body, covered in wounds, blood, torn clothes, injured arm, injured leg, battered injured body, exhausted, half-closed eyes, white hair, long hair, yellow eyes, mechanical arms, white cloak, visor, head-mounted display, boots, armor, long grey hair, hair between eyes, red eyes, large hat, white kimono, japanese clothes, torn kimono, from side, dutch angle, close-up, cowboy shot, carrying, arm support, blood on hands, dirt on face, looking at another, half-closed eyes, parted lips, dark battlefield, ruined city, broken concrete, dust, overcast light, muted palette, crimson accents, somber, tender The shot is a low dutch angle from the side, tilted a few degrees so the horizon of rubble runs diagonally, framing the two women at cowboy-shot height: Snow White's shoulders and head at the top of the frame, her forearms and Scarlet's dangling legs at the bottom, the ruined street behind them compressed into shallow depth. Snow White stands with her weight planted on her back foot, torso leaning back a touch to counter the load, both mechanical arms slid under Scarlet -- the left forearm under Scarlet's shoulders, the right forearm under the backs of Scarlet's knees -- and her gloved hands locked firmly around Scarlet's far hip and outer thigh so the smaller body is cradled against her chest rather than held out at arm's length. Scarlet's head rests against Snow White's collarbone and the white cloak, one cheek pressed to the fabric, her long grey hair spilling down over Snow White's forearm and swinging free beneath it. Scarlet's arms hang loosely, one hand curled against her own stomach, the other dangling with the fingers slack; the knee of her bent leg crosses in front of the other, both boots hanging and slightly swinging. Her white kimono is shredded -- one sleeve torn away at the shoulder, the hem ripped open along the thigh, the sash loose -- with dark blood soaking through the fabric at the shoulder, ribs and hip and running in thin dried tracks down her bare arm and shin; grazes and dirt streak her cheek and the side of her neck, and her large hat has been knocked askew and hangs down her back by its cord. Snow White's visor is pushed up onto her forehead, the head-mounted display flat against her white hair, her yellow eyes fixed down on Scarlet's face, brow drawn, jaw set; Scarlet's red eyes are half-closed and turned up toward her, lips parted with a shallow breath, and her hand shifts weakly to grip a fold of Snow White's white cloak. Overcast light falls from above and slightly behind the camera, flat and colourless, throwing both faces into cool shadow under the brim of Snow White's raised visor and leaving the blood the only warm note in the frame; dust hangs in the air and grits the metal joints of Snow White's arms, and the ground around them is broken concrete with rebar and pulverised slabs, a single crushed helmet half-buried in the rubble in the foreground. Palette of ash grey, dusty white and stained crimson only. Somber, tender.
