Three figures only, all full body. Rosalina stands near the centre-left of the balustrade, weight carried on her back foot with the front heel lifted, her torso rotated toward the right of frame as she follows the chase with her head; her right arm is thrown up and out at shoulder height, elbow slightly bent, fingers wrapped around the silver shaft of the star-tipped Super Mario wand so the star head sits clear above her shoulder against the dark sky, while her left hand rests flat on the stone coping beside her hip. Her long pale-blonde hair sweeps across one eye and falls past her waist, its side ponytail lifting and trailing to the left with her turn, star earrings swinging; her chin is tipped up, one brow arched, a small open-lipped smile as she looks toward the star child. The star child Luma sweeps just above and behind her right shoulder in a fast arc, a small round yellow star body with stubby arms flung out, its little trailing ribbon-thin glimmer streaking behind it, eyes squeezed shut in a delighted crescent, mouth open in a cheer, angled toward the right where its pursuer comes around. Jirachi comes around the front of the circle, low and quick across the frame from right to left, body banked into the turn with the ribbon streamers on its head snapping back, its short pale-blonde hair and the small third eye and facial marks visible on its upturned face, blue eyes wide and green-tinted gleam at the brow, a laugh in the open mouth, both little arms tucked back in the run. A trail of small glinting sparks from the wand's star head and from the two chasing bodies lifts in the same leftward arc, showing the direction of the circle. Behind them the domed observatory with its open shutter stands dark against the stars on the right midground, and above the balustrade the sky is dense with stars, one bright shooting star streaking down the upper left. The light source is cold starlight and the faint neon-blue glow bleeding off the wand and the star bodies; it rims the figures from behind and above, so their faces are in soft shadow while the edges of hair, gown and star body glow, and the stone floor falls into deep navy beneath them. Palette of deep navy and near-black sky, cold cyan and violet starlight, punchy neon magenta and lime in the wand spark and star glows, and pale gold hair as the one warm accent. Stars scatter only across the upward-facing surfaces: the dome's crown, the tops of shoulders and the star child's upper curve, while the undersides of the balustrade and Rosalina's falling hair stay in shadow. Effortlessly playful.
