A wide shot in which she is a small figure before her huge iron giant outside the royal mead-hall, seen from a low angle, the viewer looking up at her, her figure balanced against a strong secondary element across the frame, of a woman in her twenties, the shield-maiden who pilots the iron guardian of the Wuffing kings. The whole image has a smoky, gold-and-iron Anglo-Saxon mecha-pilot energy, the mead-halls of the East Angles guarded by iron giants with great helm-faces, garnet cloisonné and gilt knotwork, and the mood is proud, solemn and softly warm. She is beautiful, a woman with a tall, statuesque build: very tall, with straight, broad shoulders, long arms and very long legs, a firm, toned body, a narrow waist, balanced hips and long, firm thighs, and medium, shapely breasts. Her skin is light and clear with a cool, pale-rose undertone, and her face is regal and beautiful, long and oval with high, fine cheekbones, a straight nose, a soft, full mouth and large, deep-set pale blue eyes with dark lashes. Her expression is proud and warm, a faint, steady smile. Her very long hair is a bright, cool lilac-grey, worn in two thick braids over her shoulders. She wears a long gown of deep blue wool with red tablet-woven borders, festoons of amber and green glass beads strung between two gilt brooches, and a heavy grey wool cloak fastened at each shoulder by a gold-and-garnet clasp, the clasps glowing faintly red as her pilot's interface. Her makeup is a touch of kohl and a soft berry lip. The setting is the royal mead-hall of the East Angles in the late evening on a clear night, the whole scene fully detailed: her iron giant stands in full view from its crest to its feet, a biped mech as tall as the hall's roof-tree, built of dark, hammered iron, its face a great iron helm with garnet-inlaid brows ending in gilt boar heads and a gilt dragon forming its nose and moustache, its shoulders fastened with huge gold-and-garnet cloisonné clasps and its plates edged in gilt knotwork. Behind it stands the long timber hall with carved dragon-headed gables and smoke rising from the roof, burial mounds on the heath and the dark line of the river. She stands before the giant facing the viewer, her feet apart and both hands resting on the iron rim of a round linden shield propped upright before her, her chin lifted and her eyes on the viewer. Firelight as a rim: the great fire through the hall's open doors behind her lays a hot orange outline along her braids, her shoulders and the edge of her cloak, and glows on the iron giant's knotwork, while her front stays in soft, warm shadow. Glint & Gloom style: refined, semi-realistic linework with painterly, chiaroscuro shading built around one dominant light source that carves strong rim/backlight against deep shadow. Soft, painterly digital finish with detailed atmospheric backgrounds; the iron giant's garnets and gilt knotwork glint out of the gloom.
