character: alucard_(hellsing), seras_victoria, copyright: hellsing 1girl, 1boy, alucard \(hellsing\), seras victoria, 2girls, height 1.50m, short stature, very long hair, long hair, black hair, red eyes, smile, shirt, black shirt, jacket, coat, overcoat, suit, pants, white pants, necktie, gloves, white gloves, shoes, fang, blonde hair, hair over one eye, braid, blue eyes, military uniform, shocked, wide-eyed, open mouth, sweatdrop, arms up, recoiling, from side, dutch angle, cowboy shot, looking at another, surprised, indoor, hallway, night, lamp light, high contrast, cel shading The camera sits low and canted: a dutch-angle cowboy shot from just below eye level, the corridor's floorboards tipping diagonally across the frame. On the right, Alucard stands turned three-quarters toward her, a petite figure exactly one metre fifty tall in black dress shoes flat on the boards, hips cocked with the weight on the left leg, one white-gloved hand resting loosely at the waist of the suit — the black shirt buttoned high, the necktie pulled straight and narrow against the collar, the white pants breaking clean over the shoe, the long black overcoat left unbuttoned and hanging open to bare the jacket's line beneath. Her very long black hair falls behind her shoulder and past her hip, one strand lifted by her own turn; her red eyes are wide and bright and fixed on Seras with open delight, a broad smile showing one small fang at the corner, the grin of someone who knows exactly the effect she is having. Her body is turned, but her chin lifts toward the other girl and her gaze lands square on her face. On the left, Seras Victoria recoils into the corridor wall — smaller in the frame, in past-the-knee skirt and military tunic and gloves, so that the two figures' relative scale reads clearly as Alucard's short stature. She is caught mid-backstep, one heel lifting off the floor and her shoulders thrown back against the wainscoting, both forearms snapping up in front of her chest, hands open and rigid, fingers splayed. Her one visible blue eye is huge and round above the blonde hair falling over the other, her mouth popped open in a startled O, a single bead of sweat running down her temple, her long braid thrown forward over her shoulder by the sudden jerk of her retreat. Remarkably, she still looks at Alucard — her gaze pinned to the smiling girl, which is where the joke lands. The environment is a dark Hellsing-style corridor: a low, ornate wainscot running in perspective toward the vanishing point, a gilded mirror on the right wall, a tall narrow lamp sconce between them. That sconce is the only light source — it throws warm yellow light from the right across the front of Seras's upturned face and hands and across Alucard's white trousers and gloves, while her dark coat and the back of her hair sink toward black, and both figures drop long shadows slanting left across the floorboards. The pallet is tight and deliberate: black, white and warm gold. The mirror behind Alucard catches only the back of her coat and the fall of her hair, and that reflection is dimmer and softer than the lit figure itself. Her shadow where she stands is the only thing that proves she is really there. Startled, deadpan, faintly ominous.
