character: kamisaki_hikaru, copyright: medalist_(manga) 1girl, solo, kamisaki_hikaru, long hair, black hair, high ponytail, yellow eyes, black leotard, sleeveless black figure skating costume, high neck, black tights, figure skates, ice skates, ina bauer, arms outstretched, arched back, head tilted back, on ice, ice rink, front view, from front, straight-on, facing viewer, full body, wide shot, cold light, blue and black palette, determined expression, closed mouth, looking at viewer A single young female figure skater seen from directly in front, straight-on at eye level with the ice, the whole of her body inside the frame from the crowns of her skates to the top of her head, the rink boards and the empty arena behind her. She is deep in an Ina Bauer: her skates are set on one continuous edge, the blades carving a single long arc across the ice, the leading skate gliding forward on its outside edge while the trailing skate is drawn back and turned out flat behind her heel, both knees deeply bent so her hips drop low. Her back arches backward into a long bow, her chest opens to the ceiling, her shoulders roll back and her arms are flung out and slightly down to either side, fingers spread and reaching, one wrist a fraction higher than the other. Her head tips back with the arch, chin lifted, but her yellow eyes stay open and fixed forward at the viewer, mouth set in a small closed line of concentration, a faint crease between her brows. Her black ponytail is bound high and swings out to one side in the cold draft, the tail lifting away from her nape. She wears a black leotard-type figure skating costume: a sleeveless, high-necked black bodysuit cut close to the torso and hips, matte fabric with a thin sheen catching along the chest and shoulders, no skirt, nothing layered over it. Black opaque tights sheath her legs from waist to ankle, disappearing into black skating boots laced tight, the boots resolving into steel blades with a bright ground edge. The costume black and the tights black run together with only the sheen difference at the hip to separate them. The only colour on her is the yellow of her eyes. The rink is a wide cold arena: pale scuffed ice underfoot, its surface criss-crossed with old skate tracings, a low dark barrier far behind her, empty ranks of seats receding in dim tiers, all muted to grey-blue. Overhead the arena light is a single hard cold white bank falling from above and slightly ahead of her, so it strikes her forehead, the tops of her shoulders, the front plane of her thighs and the leading edge of her blades; the undersides of her arms, her throat, her jaw and the inside of her arched back fall into cool shadow. Where her skates bear her weight the ice has been cut to a bright thin white line and a spray of frost shavings has been thrown out to the trailing side of the arc, the only disturbance on the whole surface. Solid black of the costume and tights against the blue-grey ice, the only saturated note the yellow of her eyes. Composed, severe, coldly luminous.
