character: ryu_(street_fighter), copyright: street_fighter 1boy, solo, ryu (street fighter) reference, slim body, dark gray skin, shining red eyes, short spiky black hair, shirtless, long black karate belt tied around waist, black baggy karate pants, thin dark red karate gloves, barefoot, headband absent, forehead completely bare, face clean-shaven, massive purple energy emitting around body, deep stance, horse stance, wide stance, bent knees, charging energy, energy ball, glowing orb, hands at hip, cupped hands, clenched teeth, gritted teeth, menacing look, explosive energy wave expanding from feet, open grassy field, dark skies with lightning, straight level camera, eye-level, full body, wide shot, dutch angle absent, from front, looking at viewer, aura, power, dramatic lighting, The camera sits at exact eye level, square and level, no tilt: Ryu faces the lens frontally, and his full standing mass fills the middle of the frame from the top of his short spiky black hair down to his bare feet planted in the grass. His body is slim, lean muscle drawn tight over a narrow frame, and his skin is a flat dark gray, desaturated and cool, so the purple light cracks bright across it. Short black hair rises in hard spikes off his skull, and under it his eyes burn shining red, lit from inside, pupils fixed on the viewer with a menacing, brow-heavy stare. His jaw is clamped shut, teeth gritted visibly between parted lips, the muscle at his temple standing out, one corner of the mouth pulled lower than the other. He is sunk into a deep horse stance: feet planted wide apart in the grass and turned outward, knees bent hard and pushed out over the toes, thighs nearly level, hips dropped low so the black baggy karate pants bunch and fold in heavy fabric over his shins and pool over his bare ankles and heels. The long black karate belt is knotted at his waist and both tails hang loose down the side of one thigh, the free ends lifted and fluttering outward from the pressure of the aura. His torso is bare, the dark gray chest and stomach muscles hard-edged, and the thin dark red karate gloves hug his hands tight at the wrists where they sit drawn back to his right hip. Both hands are cupped at his hip, palms facing each other and fingers curled, elbows bent and pulled back behind his hip line, and between the cupped palms spins a glowing orb of energy — a hard white-violet core wrapped in a churning purple shell, throwing light up into his forearms, into the underside of his chin and across the inside of his wrists. Its glow rim-lights the dark red gloves and paints the wrinkles in the black pants. All around his body a massive purple aura streams upward and outward, hot at the edges, dragging loose grass blades and grit up off the ground in streaks that make the air visible. At his feet an explosive energy wave expands, a low ring of force bursting outward from his bare soles and drying the field in a circle around him: grass flattened in a radial burst away from his stance, tufts of dirt lifting, and where the wave passes it brightens the grass from underneath, casting Ryu's long shadow out behind him. The field is open grassy plain running to a low dark horizon with nothing on it. The sky above is thick with dark storm cloud, and a forked bolt of lightning splits it in the upper left of the frame, its pale flash landing as cold highlights on the top of his hair and shoulders while the purple aura supplies the only warm light in the picture. The palette stays at three notes — cold slate-gray and storm-violet in the sky, the flat dark gray of his body, the violet-white of the orb and aura, with the black of hair, belt and pants and the dark red of the gloves as the only other colors. Lightning-rigid wind drags the ends of the long belt forward, and the grass bends flat in rings beneath the wave. Dark, molten, poised tension.
