💜💗💜💗💜 Story 💗💜💗💜💗 The Road Home After spending some time in the pet supplies store, the shopping basket gradually filled up.At first, Gakupo only planned to buy a few basic necessities.But whenever he thought about Luka still recovering from her injuries, and saw her curious reactions to certain items, the simple shopping list kept growing one item after another.In the end, even he couldn’t help glancing at the basket.It already held quite a lot.A soft mat, several kinds of food, drinking supplies, and the toys Luka had looked at earlier.Gakupo lowered his head to look at her in his arms.“Seems like we bought a bit too much.”Luka blinked.She had no idea what “too much” meant.All she knew was that the things she had just looked at now seemed to have been gathered by this human.Especially the feather toy she had stared at for so long.Luka glanced down at the basket.The feather toy lay quietly inside.Her ears twitched slightly.Gakupo noticed her gaze.“Still looking?”Luka looked up.“Meow.”He smiled.“I’ll give it to you once we’re home.”Luka seemed to understand the soothing tone and calmed down.They walked another round.After confirming nothing was missing, Gakupo carried Luka to the checkout counter.Once the purchase was complete, he realized the things he bought were far more than expected.Bag after bag.He organized them a little, holding several in one hand.The other hand continued to hold Luka securely.“This should be enough.”Luka looked down at the bags as he carried her.They swayed gently with his steps.She stared at one bag for a long while.Something inside seemed to make a faint sound.She immediately lowered her head.Gakupo noticed her reaction.“Want to see?”He didn’t bring the bag closer, only glanced down.Luka didn’t answer.She stretched her neck, trying hard to peek inside.He chuckled.“You’ll find out when we get back.”He adjusted his arm to keep her steady, making sure she wouldn’t be shaken by his movements.One hand carried the bags.The other held Luka firmly.She stayed quietly in his arms.As they stepped out of the store, sunlight shone again.She lifted her head at once.The street was still bustling.People passing by.Cars driving past.Wind blowing from the corner.Her gaze wandered again.She looked at the street, then at the bags in his hand, then back at him.Gakupo met her eyes.“What is it?”She meowed softly.“Meow.”He smiled.“Lots of things, huh?”She tilted her head.“Meow.”“I think so too.”He glanced at the bags, then at Luka in his arms.“But they’re all for you.”Of course Luka didn’t understand.She only looked at him.She didn’t know why this human was willing to prepare so much for her.She had no past to compare with.No idea if anyone had ever treated her this way before.But now, she knew one thing.His arm holding her was always steady.Even with the other hand full of bags, he never loosened his hold.Luka leaned closer.He noticed and checked to make sure she was comfortable.“Tired?”She looked at him.“Meow.”“Still okay?”“Meow.”Hearing her two calls in a row, he smiled softly.“Then let’s go home.”Luka turned her head back to the street.She stayed quietly in his arms, following his steps out of the pet supplies store.One hand carrying all the bags.The other holding her securely.And all those things prepared for her followed them on the way home.
