Resting back on her heels, she leans slightly forward to present a pair of dark iron scissors held in both cupped hands, handles angled toward the viewer. Her dark travel cloak hangs loosely off her shoulders with its hood lowered back, leaving her abundant, voluminous wavy hair completely uncovered; the thick, soft locks of dusty pinkish-brown hair tumble past her shoulders and frame her face in distinct, finely rendered strands that catch the ambient radiance. Her left eye remains shut beneath an intricate dark bird-talon marking, while her open right amber-gold eye looks directly at the viewer with serene, quiet contemplation. Just beside her on the grassy flagstones, a spiraling filament of golden grace burns softly, casting a warm underlight across her fingers, the polished metal blades, and the downward curves of her cheeks. Through shattered Gothic arches in the deep midnight background, the colossal, luminous trunk and branching canopy of a radiant golden tree dominate the horizon, scattering tiny floating embers upward into the indigo sky. Sacred quietude, solemn devotion.
