Low-angle shot captured right at the water's surface, angled upward from inside the pool lane. Half-submerged at the terminus of a competition lane, she grips the wet, textured poolside gutter firmly with both hands, knuckles flexed as she pulls her upper torso partially out of the churning turquoise water. Her long dark brown hair is soaked and heavy, parted strands sticking damply across her forehead and framing her face between her eyes, while a slim dark hairband rests behind her prominent, spring-loaded ahoge that stays upright with glistening water beads clinging to its tip. Her alert brown horse ears twitch slightly forward atop her head, the right ear clasped by a small metallic device, while her long equine tail sways submerged beneath the water's rippled surface behind her. She wears a form-fitting, hydrophobic navy-blue and white athletic competition one-piece swimsuit with a high collar, the fabric taut across her toned collarbones and ribcage. Her striking light blue eyes stare directly forward with unwavering, stoic concentration; her lips part slightly to draw a steady breath, a droplet of water suspended from the curve of her jawline. Surrounding her, red-and-white floating lane markers stretch into the soft-focused background of the expansive indoor natatorium, where high steel ceiling girders and tall frosted glass panels diffuse cool morning daylight. Overhead stadium lights combine with underwater pool lamps to cast dancing, golden-cyan caustic webs upward across her wet neck, shoulders, and the poolside ceramic tiles. Beneath the surface, refraction cleanly offsets her submerged legs and waist against the blue grid tiles below, while water sheets off the water-resistant fabric of her suit in clear laminas before breaking into foam. Intense athletic focus.
