a relatively brief chronology of my experience with image generation AI: hello everybody. I got into generative AI art about 7 months ago now. I started out with stable diffusion and I think some free Dall-E 2 access that was out there for a bit. I really focused on stable diffusion primarily and sort of just used DE3 in the background. but a lot of those months were spent on a generator which is Poe.com where are you pretty much just have your prompt and your aspect ratio and that's it. so you can imagine my delight when I discovered that LoRA and Controlnet existed! after a little bit of time on this generator I became a traitor and went over to a big competitor to stability AI called mid journey. they treated me really horribly. I actually had it in my head too after they banned me automatically for no reason that they were the best model for sure. yeah, not so much. there are actually ways of prompting and using lora etc etc to make your works look a lot like mid journey and that's one of my primary goals right now with AI art overall. I am also really big De3 And Ideogram. I just cannot wait until chat GPT restores PNG file type support instead of using the god-awful webp files. But yeah I will now maintain that as many stable diffusion buffs have said before myself on Reddit and elsewhere, there is nothing that mid journey can make that you cannot do as well or better using stable diffusion if you take enough time and have enough knowledge. so, that's me. also I'm bipolar and on the spectrum so I'm a little different. take care and I really do appreciate the people who follow me and of course anyone who likes my art! Update: after 11 days I ended up getting unbanned from mid journey and apologized to at least. So that's pretty much my de facto go to or whatever you want to call it model right now. Although I do prefer still DE3 for details and prompt adherence. MJ being overall more atmospheric/abstract/impressionistic and playing off the strengths of image generation as it currently exists.
