One of the Five Absolutes. The 1st Absolute. Absolute Evolution. In elven culture, nature and the natural body are viewed with deep, sacred reverence. Selene completely deserted the concept of the Natural Order, along with any shred of Ethical Morality. To her, the idea of a "sacred body" is nothing but a pathetic excuse for weakness. She looked at the limitations of the flesh—how bones break, how muscles fatigue, how disease rots a soldier—and felt nothing but absolute disgust. By casting aside her moral compass and her empathy for living things, she unlocked the cold, unblinking focus required to treat everything, including herself, as a science project. She does not view a human or an elf as a person; she views them as a collection of adaptable organic components waiting to be optimized. She acquired this title in a surprising way. She claimed it during a catastrophic deployment to a massive underground metropolis known as the Sunken City, which had been completely overrun by a parasitic, flesh-mutating plague. The organization's standard military divisions were failing miserably. Soldiers were turning on each other, mutating into horrific abominations, and high command was ready to purge the entire zone with fire. Selene requested to be deployed alone. Instead of fighting the mutated monsters, she set up a field lab directly in the hot zone. She began capturing the infected creatures, dissecting them alive, and analyzing the parasite’s genetic code. To survive the toxic atmosphere, she aggressively experimented on her own dark elf body. She engineered highly unstable, localized vaccines and chemical boosters, injecting them directly into her veins to manually adapt her lungs and blood to the plague. Within two weeks, she didn't just cure the plague; she weaponized it. She engineered a highly specific, airborne neurotoxin that target-locked the genetic sequence of the mutated monsters. When she released it, the entire hostile population's nervous systems melted in a matter of hours. High command officially designated her the 1st Absolute, stamping her file with the name Absolute Evolution.
