Oil Painting Experiment — Tsubaki.3
Another Tsubaki.3 Early Access experiment! 🎨 This time I wanted to create an illustration that felt much closer to a traditional oil painting while still preserving the identity of my characters, their designs, and the atmosphere of the original scene. The scene is inspired by the ending of the chapter of “Where Heroes Never Come” that I published today, with Marpu facing Zorpe and Crest while Urame appears behind him as a symbolic reflection of his true identity. After several attempts, I think this version came the closest to the oil-painted look I was aiming for while still keeping the characters and composition recognizable. I’m definitely going to keep pushing Tsubaki.3 further. That’s what the beta is for, after all — seeing just how far the model can go! ✨ 『ヒーローの来ない場所』

- Use the provided reference image as the composition and character identity base. Keep the same scene, same character positions, same relationships, and the same overall framing. Transform the image into a dramatic oil painting style cover illustration. The result must look like a refined painted artwork with visible brushstrokes, rich oil paint texture, soft canvas feel, painterly shading, subtle impasto effect, and a cinematic fine-art atmosphere. Preserve the warehouse interior at sunset, the warm golden-orange backlight, the long shadows on the floor, the stacked wooden crates, and the parked car in the background. On the left foreground, keep the armored figure as the dominant subject: a tall person in full medieval-inspired purple armor with a closed helmet, polished violet metal plates, dark chainmail visible between armor segments, leather belts and straps, and a powerful imposing stance. Do not redesign the armor. Keep it elegant, solid, and visually striking. In front of the armored figure, keep the central opponent: a young man with brown hair and amber-golden eyes, wearing a brown bomber jacket over a light shirt, dark pants, and dark shoes. He must face the armored figure directly with a serious, tense, confrontational expression. Preserve his role as the main rival in the scene. In the background on the right, keep the third character near the car: a young man with very light mint-green hair, a distinct red streak in his bangs, blue eyes, and a dark fitted outfit. He must remain secondary in visual importance, slightly behind the confrontation, watching the scene. Preserve his calm, observant presence. Very important: preserve the symbolic residual figure of Urame associated with the armored figure. He is not physically standing in the scene as a fourth solid person. He must appear as a large semi-transparent, glowing residual presence behind and slightly overlapping the armored figure, visually tied to him like a spiritual or symbolic shadow. Urame must clearly look like a 17-year-old boy with messy red hair, pink eyes, pale skin, and a slim build. His expression should be serious, introspective, and emotionally charged. Keep him translucent, ethereal, and clearly symbolic, not fully solid. He must enhance the duality between Urame and Marpu. The final image should feel like an impactful painted cover: dramatic, elegant, tense, symbolic, and visually powerful. Prioritize painterly oil aesthetics while preserving character identity, composition, and scene readability.
