character: lillie_(pokemon) 1girl, solo, lillie_(pokemon), blonde hair, long hair, twin braids, blunt bangs, green eyes, bare legs, barefoot, sleeveless white dress, white sun hat, vacuum bed, plastic film, transparent vinyl sheet, shrink-wrapped, body outline pressed through plastic, whole body turned into paint, paint body, wet paint skin, dripping paint, glossy paint surface, full body, lying on back, arms at sides, from above, high angle, top-down, foreshortening, looking up, wide-eyed, parted lips, blush, clenched hands, still air, studio void, seamless dark ground, single overhead light source, cool violet and pale gold palette, high-gloss latex sheen, macro detail on stretched film, intimate, surreal From directly above, a high overhead shot looks straight down onto the vacuum bed: a low, dark rectangular frame with a thick clear vinyl sheet stretched taut across it, its edges clamped and drawn down. Inside the sheet lies one girl, flat on her back, her head at the lower end of the frame and tilted slightly toward the lens so her green eyes look up into it. Her long blonde hair is loose around her shoulders in two braids that splay out across the vinyl, her blunt bangs pressed flat against her forehead by the film, her white sun hat set aside off-frame so the crown of her head rests bare on the plastic. Her arms lie along her sides with the hands half-curled and palms turned up, fingers spread slightly where the sheet has sucked the vinyl down between them. Her bare legs stretch the full length of the frame, knees together then drifting apart an inch, calves and ankles bare, the soles of her bare feet pressed flat against the taut floor of the sheet. A transparent vinyl film is vacuumed down over every part of her: it seals across her sleeveless white dress, sinks into the hollow of her collarbone, draws tight over her ribs, hips and thighs, tracing the line of each shin and the exact shape of each toe; where the film pinches off air it creases in bright hard ridges, and a thin airless vacuum halo rims her whole body outline. Beneath the surface her body has become paint: her limbs read as poured, saturated color, glossy and wet, skin and dress no longer separate but one continuous poured medium in deep violet, cobalt and warm gold, the paint pooling and beading where the vinyl presses it, and a few slow drips run beneath the film and gather in the lowest corner of the sheet. She is held completely still, the film's suction lifting a faint impression of every contour, and the betraying physical detail: the plastic films over her open mouth and does not move with her shallow breath, so that the only sign of life is a small fog of condensation blooming and fading on the inside of the film, replaced each time she exhales. One hard overhead light source is the only light; it strikes the wet vinyl and throws two sharp specular streaks down the length of the frame, and the paint beneath glows where the light passes through the clear film; outside the frame's rectangle the dark floor is absolutely black, with no other light and no reflected glow. The palette admits only violet, cobalt, warm gold and the clear white of the vinyl and the girl's hair. Narrow depth, tight crop at the frame's edges, everything given to the seal of the film against her body and the wetness of the paint. Quiet, suspended dread.
