Blood splatter is flung across the lower left of the frame -- a long arc of it across the asphalt, and droplets beaded and drying on the underside of her sleeve and a spatter on one shoe -- sticky and dark, catching a hard orange edge on each glossy lump, the thickest pool skinning over where the firelight rakes it flat. The camera is low enough that the fires' light floods upward, so the tops of the jack-o'-lanterns and the skulls go dark while their throats and sockets glow; the fisheye bows the street lamps inward at the frame edges, and the whole composition leans with the dutch angle like the ground is tilting under the parade.
