The palette holds to warm amber lamplight, the paper-white of pillows and kimono, indigo, pale grey, and cool blue evening — nothing else. High detail on the faces, hands, the grips on each pillow and the swirling fabric; the inn's beams and distant shoji simplified into dark warm shapes. Playful, chaotic, cozy.
