Yuhara Seiko AKA THG Shiranui

The most logical of the Kagerō-class destroyers reborn as shipgirls, this is Yuhara Seiko, the reborn THG Shiranui which was (as publicly known) lost with all hands off the coast of the Philippines in the immediate wake of the battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944. Haunted by the loss of her bow thanks to a torpedo strike two years earlier by USS Growler during the Aleutians campaign — an event that drove her captain to commit seppuku in atonement — she would submerge herself in the studies of the Moroboshi Clan's in-house school of ninjutsu, Saikō Jinseijutsu-ryū ("Way of the Supreme Life"), which makes her effectively as emotionless as the grandmaster of that school, Moroboshi Negako. However, unlike Negako — who could call upon a MILLENNIUM's worth of experiences by various stealth warriors to help discipline her emotions — Seiko is a relative child in comparison; confront her with something that makes her self-control break and she suffers from what her sisters nickname "Nui-Nui" moments...which embarrass her to no end. When she does have her mind on business, though, Seiko is one of the most devastating shipgirls reborn from a destroyer alive today. Atop the standard FISS-level strengths, energy projection powers and "secure communications" telepathy, she also has the ability to cloak herself in a form of fog which allows her to stealthily approach a target before launching an attack. Even more so, she is fully versed in all the attack disciplines of Saikō Jinseijutsu, especially the two guaranteed kill strikes. The first is the Seishin-Hasai Hi-Kōsen ("spirit-breaking fire light") manouevre, which projects a greenish bolt of ki guaranteed to burn through noncorporeal entities such as spirits possessing a physical body, eldritch witches and other such phenomena. The other manouevre is the most devastating martial arts form in the TEOTC universe, the Kontō ("soulsword") form, which allows a welder to create an energy sword of anti-ki (the opposite of normal ki which propels entropy) that can kill normal person with just the cut of the blade. To Seiko's considerable surprise, Moroboshi Ataru (Rake) would approach her to make her part of his personal "fleet" of his intimate shipgirl lovers. Doing this would allow him to learn how to forge a soulsword, which allowed him to depossess his would-be "wife" Redet Lum of the immortal Oni Ibaraki-dōji (which had possessed her for months) so such could be banished into the Dark Gaol by Mark Calaway (the Undertaker). In the wake of that, Seiko has elected to help teach the Healer of Women's Hearts about his family Art.
