character: saotome_ranma, shampoo_(ranma_1/2) two, saotome_ranma, shampoo_(ranma_1/2), sitting, on sofa, relaxing, back hug, hug from behind, arms around waist, from behind, head turned back, looking back, surprised, wide-eyed, open mouth, delighted, blush, happy, mischievous smile, smug, grin, one eye half closed, hair bun, double bun, purple hair, long hair, sidelocks, hair bell, hair ornament, bow, red eyes, chinese clothes, china dress, long hair, black hair, hair down, bare shoulders, sleeveless, indoor, living room, domestic, warm lamp light, close-up, cowboy shot, large characters, holding, leaning forward, looking at another The camera comes in close and slightly from below, so the two of them fill almost the whole frame: he sits low on a deep living-room sofa, sprawled back into the cushion with his shoulders slack and one ankle hooked over the opposite knee, his left arm draped along the sofa's backrest and his right hand fallen loose beside his hip — relaxed right up until the moment she hits him from behind. Her arms come over the sofa's backrest and lock across his chest, forearms crossing just under his collarbones, one palm flat on his far shoulder and the other hand's fingers curled into the fabric of his sleeveless top over his ribs; her cheek presses in against the side of his neck and the underside of her chin touches the slope of his shoulder, and her weight leans into him so the whole backrest takes her push. Loosed from habit, his long dark hair spills down over her forearm and one strand lies across her sleeve. He has wrenched his head half around toward her — eyes wide, brows shot up, mouth open on a startled half-laugh, ears tipped pink, one shoulder hiked up by reflex even as his grin breaks through, and he is looking straight back at her over his own cheek. Her face is tilted up over his shoulder, eyes half lidded and cutting sideways down at him with a lopsided, prankster's smirk, one brow cocked as if she has just proved a point; every bit of her is drawn into the lean — the purple hair, the twin buns, the bell at her hair and the ribbon bow swinging forward past her cheek, the side locks falling against his shoulder, the close-cut high-collared chinese dress stretched by the reach across his chest. Only the two of them, the top of the sofa and a slice of warm cluttered living room behind: a cushion behind her hip, a low table edge barely in frame, wallpaper in soft shadow — nothing of mountains, springs or training grounds. A single warm lamp sits to the left and low; it throws a hot rim along her forearm and the top of his cheek, leaves the right side of his face in warm shadow, and paints their doubled shadow on the wall above the sofa's back. Red, purple, warm ochre and deep umber carry the palette: red in her dress and the small bow, purple in her hair, ochre thrown by the lamp across skin and upholstery, umber in the sofa and the room's dark corners — with the crease she presses into the backrest cushion marking how hard she is leaning. Cozy, teasing, entirely at home.
