USS Drumheller

Shipgirl AI of USS Drumheller, a town in east-central Alberta northeast of Calgary within the heart of the Alberta badlands. She is also the namesake of a Royal Canadian Navy corvette which served in World War Two. Given that the area around her namesake city is known as "Dinosaur Valley" due to the many skeletons which have been excavated from the old rock over the years, the shipgirl adopted a similar form to her sempai Warramunga, assuming the looks of an ancient Saurian deity even if she's still a teenager at heart. Like so many depicted in these pictures, Drumheller was created as the artificial "soul" of a Sabre-class frigate, awakening for the first time in 2364 and being commissioned in an "atmospheric entry pattern" ceremony over her namesake town by the Lieutenant Governor of the Wild Rose Province. Like those of her generation of Port Weller girl, she became the perfect kid sister for her small crew of fifteen officers and 45 non-commissioned members, who seemed to remain quite intact until the Dominion War took off in earnest nine years later. Also like her sisters, Drumheller was forced to watch as her senior staff seemed to de-age right before her eyes, those more expterienced crew being drafted off to help form the nucleus of new ship's crews to replace the horrible losses occurred during those two years. She would survive same and sail on until being paid off in 2382, her hull replaced by a more advanced Sabre-class ship. Drumheller would join her sempai Warramunga in a long-term mission to the Gamma Quadrant to observe what was happening with the Dominion in the wake of the near-wiping out of the Founders thanks ultimately to Section 31. Given the older shipgirl's automatic concern for the reptillian Jem'Hadar, Drumheller soon began to befriend her former enemies, who saw in her an odd sibling in a way. Her second hull would be wrecked in an ion storm, though her crew and her black box were evacuated off. Thanks to trouble with the reborn Hur'q, the Dominion was caught on the backfoot, their fighting forces severely depleted along the way. Once issues were stabilized, Drumheller was assigned a Horizon-class science ship built by the Amishk at Big Lodge Starworks, one modified for medical support missions. With that, she would spend a long time in the Gamma Quadrant (based out of Deep Space Nine) to help the various races there recover from the years and centuries of Dominion depravations over their would-be subjects. In that, she would miss out on the whole Frontier Day disaster altogether; those would-be Borg among her younger crew were easily dealt with and not a single rogue Changeling was aboard given the influence of pro-Federation Founders such as Odo on many within the Great Link.
