Amaterasu's Captivity in the Forest

My heart aches seeing my favorite wolf goddess, Amaterasu, in such a vulnerable state, surrounded by these ominous figures in the woods. The way the light hits her white fur and sacred markings is beautifully rendered, making this moment feel even more intense. If you feel for her struggle, please leave a like, follow for more, and share your thoughts in the comments below!

character: amaterasu_(ookami) feral wolf, quadruped, white fur, orange eyes, body markings, facial mark, animal ears, running, chased, poachers, male poachers, bolas, bolas wrapped around paws, bolas wrapped around hind legs, bound legs, lying on ground, on side, muzzle tied shut, rope around muzzle, rope binding, restraint, struggle, wide-eyed, gritted teeth, ears pinned back, fur bristling, tension, dutch angle, from above, low angle background, motion blur, dust kicked up, forest clearing, dappled light, danger, desperate The camera looks down from above and slightly behind the poachers' shoulder line: a feral white wolf lies on her right side in a forest clearing, filling the lower two thirds of the frame, her forelegs stretched forward and her hind legs folded under her. A pair of bolas -- three stone-weighted cords joined at a knot -- are wrapped around her forepaws and drawn tight around both hind legs, the cords crossed over each other at the wrist joints and cinched above the hocks, the weights resting in the dirt with taut cords biting shallow creases into the white fur. Her head is turned toward the camera-side, and her muzzle is bound shut: a length of coarse hemp rope runs around the snout twice, looped under the jaw and pulled back behind the ears, the knot sitting on the upper side of the muzzle where the rope presses the lips closed and rucks the skin at the corner of the mouth. Her eyes are wide and orange, fixed up and to the left on the nearest man; her ears are flattened back along the skull, the fur of her ruff standing up in disturbed tufts, her ribcage moving fast. Above and around her, three poachers in hooded leather and mud-stained trousers crouch and stand in a loose arc: the nearest man kneels with one knee planted in the dirt and both hands still gripping the rope's tail at the back of her head, his brow furrowed and jaw set, his eyes on his own hands; a second stands over her hindquarters coiling the last of the bola line, looking down at the binding; a third is further back, half-turned, watching the treeline, his gaze off frame. Their boots press into the leaf litter, and a heel has dragged a broken furrow through it. Light comes from a single low shaft of sun through the canopy on the upper left, striking the white fur along her flank and the rope on her muzzle in a warm band; everything under the bodies and beyond the shaft falls into cool green shade, and the shadows of the men fall across her back, cut by the light where her ears break the beam. The palette stays in three registers -- white and warm gold on the wolf and the light, deep green shadow, and dull brown leather and dirt for the men. Dust still hangs in the air above the disturbed ground where the chase ended, and the last of the bolas' motion has settled around her paws. Desperate, hard-held.
