Beside him, Luka raised the Aquarius vessel, and crystalline streams of water immediately gathered around her, dancing like blue ribbons in response to her movements. Their magic intertwined in the air. Gakupo spun to the right, and the flames followed his movement in a sweeping arc. Luka turned gracefully, and the water immediately followed, flowing along the trail left by the flames. Red and blue intertwined. The water did not extinguish the flames, nor did the flames evaporate the water. Instead, the two powers seemed to find a rhythm of their own. Without hesitation, she took it. Together, they spun once. Water swirled around their feet while flames blossomed above their heads. Their movements became smoother and smoother, as though they were no longer practicing magic at all, but dancing together upon an invisible stage. Luka stepped backward. Gakupo followed her forward. She raised the Aquarius vessel. He raised his palm. Blue streams of water and crimson flames rose simultaneously, spiraling around their bodies. With every turn, water sparkled through the air. With every step, flames flashed brightly. Finally, they stopped at the same moment. Behind them, water and fire slowly spiraled together, forming a pair of enormous wings.
