Luka linked her arm through Gakupo's as they walked side by side toward the courtyard. “Gakupo, walking like this feels so nice.” Luka looked up at the purple-haired young man beside her, smiling brightly. Gakupo gazed down at her and gently brushed a strand of pink hair away from her cheek. “As long as you like it.” “You always say things like that so suddenly...” Luka's cheeks turned faintly pink, but she didn't release his arm. Instead, she leaned a little closer to him. “I just want to hold your arm.” “Then keep holding it.” Gakupo's gentle reply made Luka even more embarrassed. She lowered her head, unable to hide the sweet smile on her lips. Walking ahead of them, Draco Malfoy had witnessed the entire exchange. She secretly glanced at Harry Potter beside her, then looked back at Luka and Gakupo's affectionate behavior. Suddenly, an unwillingness to lose crept into her heart. Why could they be so naturally affectionate with each other? She wanted to hold Harry's arm, too! At the thought, Draco's cheeks grew warm. Although her heart was racing with nervousness, she maintained her usual proud expression. No! She was a Malfoy! How could she lose to someone else over something so trivial? Draco took a deep breath and suddenly reached out, slipping her arm through Harry's. “...Draco?” Harry froze, looking down at her hand. Even his ears turned faintly red. Draco's heart was pounding so hard that she could barely think, but she still lifted her chin and raised an eyebrow at him, pretending to be completely composed. “What is it, Potter? Don't tell me you're scared just because I'm holding your arm!” Harry had initially been a little embarrassed. However, after hearing her challenge, he immediately straightened his back. “Of course not! I'm not scared!” “Good.” Draco secretly breathed a sigh of relief, though she refused to back down. “I only decided to accompany you because you were walking too slowly.” “I see.” Harry suppressed a smile. “Then should I thank you?” “Of course! You'd better remember my kindness!” Harry nodded with a smile, choosing not to expose her rather unconvincing excuse. “All right. I'll remember.” Hearing those words only made Draco more embarrassed. She secretly tightened her hold on his arm, feeling as though her heart had been sweetened with a generous spoonful of honey. So Harry didn't mind her getting close to him. He was even willing to stay by her side like this. As the thought crossed her mind, she stole a glance at him, only to find Harry looking at her at that very moment. They both froze. “W-What is it?” Draco immediately turned her face away. “Nothing,” Harry replied with a smile. “I just think walking together like this is quite nice.” Draco's cheeks turned bright red. “Idiot...” She muttered under her breath, but she didn't let go of his arm. Behind them, Luka witnessed the scene and couldn't help tugging at Gakupo's sleeve. “Look! Draco is holding Harry's arm, too!” Gakupo followed her gaze, a smile appearing on his lips. “Looks like she doesn't want to lose to us.” “But she's so embarrassed, yet she keeps pretending to be confident. She's adorable!” Luka laughed and leaned against Gakupo. He naturally placed a hand on her shoulder to support her. “In that case, we can't afford to lose either.” “Huh?” Gakupo lowered his head and looked at her affectionately. “Since you want to keep holding my arm, of course I'll happily cooperate.” Luka's cheeks immediately flushed. “Gakupo! Don't say things like that so suddenly!” “But you seemed to like it just now.” “I-I never said I didn't like it!” Embarrassed, she buried her face against his shoulder, yet kept her arm firmly linked through his. Just then, Harry turned around, saw the two of them, and smiled. “You two are really close!” Luka raised her head and glanced at Harry and Draco, who were still holding on to each other's arms. “So are you two!” “What? We're just taking a walk together!” Harry immediately blushed. “Exactly!” Draco hurriedly agreed, yet tightened her hold on Harry's arm. “Potter is simply accompanying me. Don't get the wrong idea!” Luka blinked, her smile growing even brighter. “I didn't say anything!” Gakupo gave a slight cough to hide his laughter. Harry looked at them helplessly, while Draco was too embarrassed to lift her head. However, despite her refusal to admit anything, Draco never let go of Harry's arm. And Harry never asked her to. The four of them continued toward the courtyard, the afternoon sunlight falling gently upon them. Luka and Gakupo exchanged affectionate smiles, while Harry and Draco continued bickering as they secretly enjoyed being close to each other. Perhaps the person who would confess their feelings first still needed a little more courage. But at least on this afternoon, two hearts that had yet to speak their feelings had already begun to draw closer to each other.
