character: flandre_scarlet, artist: kuroboshi_kouhaku, tsunako, copyright: touhou 1girl, flandre_scarlet, solo, fetal position, curled up, hugging own knees, knees to chest, arms wrapped around shins, head out of frame, eyes out of frame, only lower face visible from nose down, chin and parted lips at the top edge of the frame, looking at viewer, gaze aimed up at the lens from below the crop, colorful wings, crystalline rainbow-hued wings, multicolored crystal wing shards, six jagged crystal wing prongs, dark background, darkness, black void, toes, bare feet, bare soles, curled toes, bird's-eye view, from above, top-down, high angle, looking up, close-up, torso-centered composition, blonde hair, long hair, side ponytail, red eyes, bow, mob cap, hat, puffy sleeves, frills, vest, ascot, skirt, red and white color scheme, soft cel-shading, watercolor-like washes, delicate clean linework, soft diffused lighting, rim light, floating particles, muted pastel palette, desaturated base with vibrant accents, subtle grain, atmospheric haze, whimsical A bird's-eye view down into a lightless void: the frame is cropped hard at the top so the girl's head is cut away entirely, the image boundary slicing across her face just above the mouth — only chin, jaw and a small parted smile remain at the upper edge, and though the eyes sit outside the frame the whole tilt of that chin and the faint upturned curl of the lips aim the unseen gaze straight up at the viewer. Below the crop her small body is curled tight in a fetal position on the darkness itself, lying on her right side, both knees drawn up to her chest, both arms wrapped around her shins so her hands clasp over the front of her socks; her weight rests on the right hip and right shoulder, the left shoulder lifted and rolled forward, her spine rounded. The pose makes the wings splay: six jagged crystal prongs, rainbow-coloured, fan out behind her back and catch the light in separate refracted hues — violet, cyan, amber, rose — their tips hanging in the dark and dissolving into shadow at the far edges. Her blonde hair, loose and long with a side ponytail, spills across the darkness in strands around her shoulders, and around her scalp the mob cap sits, mostly cropped out of the top of the frame. She wears her red-and-white dress: puffy short sleeves, white frilled shirt under a red vest, ascot at the collar, skirt bunched and riding up where the knees press against it, frilled socks. At the lower right her bare feet are fully visible and drawn up close to the body — soles turned partly toward the viewer, toes clearly separated and curled inward, the small toe of the near foot tucked slightly under the next. Light comes from a single soft source high and slightly behind her: it lays a pale rim along the top of her curved back, the outer edge of her hip and the upper rims of the crystal wings, leaves the underside of her body and the space beneath her knees in deep shadow, and throws no floor — she rests on nothing, the darkness absolute beyond the sphere of that glow. A faint drifting haze of dust motes glitters within the lit zone and dies at its border. The palette admits only the black void, the muted white-and-red of her dress washed dusty, her pale skin, and the saturated prismatic accents of the wings and hair highlights. Soft cel-shaded anime rendering with delicate clean linework, soft pencil-like texture, airbrushed gradients and a matte finish, a whisper of grain, a quiet and eerie tenderness.
