1girl, solo, walking, mid-stride, looking at viewer, light smile, closed mouth, hime cut, long straight black hair, blunt bangs, blunt sidelocks, kendo uniform, dark blue dougi, black hakama pants, wide hakama, barefoot, bare feet, kendo armor, dou, tare, holding shinai, bamboo shinai, dojo, wooden floor, from below, full body, dutch angle, depth of field, watercolor_(medium), paper_texture Low-angle three-quarter view from just above the floorboards, tilted a few degrees off level, so the girl strides diagonally toward the camera and her leading bare foot lands flat in the near foreground while the dojo's dark timber ceiling beams converge behind her head. She is caught mid-step: left foot planted and bearing her weight, right foot lifted heel-first with toes still curled and the sole catching the light, hips rolled with the stride, black hakama swinging out at the hem and dragging a soft shadow across the boards. Her torso turns slightly against the step, the dark blue dougi's cotton sleeves pushed up at the elbows, the indigo cloth creased and sweat-softened at the chest; over it the lacquered dou sits strapped across her chest with its laced horizontal plates, and the tare hangs from her waist in segmented laced panels over the hakama, shifting with each step. Both hands grip the wrapped hilt of a single bamboo shinai held low and angled across her body, the tip trailing back behind her hip so the shaft foreshortens toward the lens. Her head tips down toward the viewer, chin lowered, lashes low over a faint closed-lip smile that presses one corner up a shade more than the other, one brow lifted; her eyes meet the lens directly. Hair: long, straight, blue-black, blunt bangs cut square across the brow and blunt sidelocks framing each cheek, the ends swinging out behind her shoulders a beat after her body, a few strands lifted by her own motion. Behind her the dojo opens deep — a polished wooden floor whose boards run toward the back wall, a rack of staves against the shoji screens, one high window throwing a single shaft of cool daylight across the boards at her heel; that shaft is the only strong light, striking the near side of her face, the lacquer of the dou and the top of her bare foot, while everything behind the shaft falls into soft indigo-brown shadow, and her long shadow stretches toward the camera and out of frame. Where her planted foot presses the boards, the pale dust of the floor blooms in a faint ring around her toes. Palette held to indigo, black, warm honey-brown wood and the white of the shoji, with the shinai's pale bamboo as the one light warm note. Quiet, sunlit, faintly ceremonial.
